Halo Infinite: hidden scene can be found in the game’s code
The Halo Infinite files contain a cutscene, a scene that could be important for a sequel.
The video games sometimes have a wealth of knowledge to understand what’s out of the universe, which is not exactly what’s in the game, but to better understand why the characters are, where they are, what world they live in, where they’re headed, etc. The history of Halo is very interesting in many ways. And Halo Infinite has a few more surprises in store. WARNING, SPOILERS!
Halo Infinite files contain a cutscene
There would indeed be more to the story presented by Halo Infinite than what we can see by finishing the game, at least unofficially. Windows Central reports that fans have discovered an unfinished mid-credits cutscene in the in-game code. As you can see below, this is not a random moment either. This could be the surest clue to what a future expansion or full sequel might look like.
A scene that could be important for the future
The scene in question shows us that Esparza, the pilot we meet at the beginning of Halo Infinite, is warning the Master Chief about another friendly UNSC tag. Although this short streak is very cryptic, some have suggested that this tag belongs to a character who was not in the main campaign, such as Commander Palmer or the Spartan Jameson Locke. Thus, we could get a “new”ally if the story resumed at this very moment.
It’s hard to understand why 343 Industries left the code for this cutscene in the final version of their game. Perhaps this short video reflects what we will see in future content. The studio has been requested by the trade press but has not yet reported on it. Whatever the explanation, it is rare to see potentially important content left in this way in the public version files anyway.. .and hope it doesn’t get detected.
