HP Unveils 16-inch Specter x360 with Intel Evo Support and 11th Gen Chips

Notebook maker HP has announced the latest iterations of its line of premium foldable laptops. The company introduced the HP Specter x360 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop, which is one of the first laptops of its kind to feature the Intel Evo platform announced in March (more on that later). Coincidentally, HP’s announcement follows Microsoft’s Surface Pro 8, which was the first 2-in-1 PC to support the Intel Evo platform. If you’re wondering what the Intel Evo platform is, let’s take a look at the specs of the new HP Specter laptop.

HP Specter x360 specifications and features

As mentioned earlier, the Specter x360 has a 16-inch display and is a 2-in-1 computer, meaning it can be detached and used as a tablet. The laptop is also powered by 11th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and has built-in 5-megapixel cameras on the front. The display has an aspect ratio of 16:10 and is an OLED panel with support for UHD resolution. The company also has a similar device with an 11-inch display and a PTZ camera.

In addition, unlike the Surface Pro 8, the 16-inch HP Specter x360 is equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU inside and supports WiFi 6E connectivity with a built-in network amplifier and Bluetooth 5.2 support. The company claims that the device will provide 17 hours of battery life on each charge, but did not specify the size of the battery.

If you’re still wondering what the Intel Evo has to do with all of this, let us explain.

Intel Evo is essentially a set of standards announced by Intel in March of this year. For laptops to live up to this, they need to support Wi-Fi 6, have Thunderbolt 4 ports, and wake up from sleep in less than a second. The fact that the Specter x360 is part of the Intel Evo portfolio means you should get it all with this laptop as well.

In addition, the new HP 11-inch Tablet PC features one USB Type-C port and an 11-inch display. The rotating camera has a resolution of 13 MP.

Although pricing is not yet available in India, the HP Specter x360 starts at $1639 in the US and the Tablet PC is $599. Deliveries of devices will begin in October and December, respectively.
