Blurbs Abstract iPhone Wallpaper Blends Shapes and Colors
Colorful abstract wallpapers are the staple of our iDownloadBlog wallpaper collection of the week. Updated every Sunday, the series brings you crisp, photo-quality images for your favorite Apple devices. This week’s gallery update features another set of creatively colorful designs, exclusively for iPhone.

The following wallpapers are from an incredibly long list of backgrounds created by graphic artist @MarcusBremen. Although Markus, who lives in Bremen, Germany, is a self-proclaimed Android enthusiast, we can’t fault him for his wallpaper creativity. If you follow him on Twitter, you’ll quickly get an almost daily stream of amazing wallpapers.
From his timeline, I grabbed the following collection of images. The combination of colors and shapes intrigued me and I decided to use them for our iDB abstraction gallery.
My favorite from this group is shown in the main image above. The way the rainbow gradient plays on the milky white background really brings out the purple, blue and red colors.
We are getting closer to the launch of iPhone 14 and iOS 16. As a curator of the wallpaper gallery, I am very interested in the possibility of a customizable lock screen in the new version of iOS. In particular, I like the idea of clocks and possibly widgets obscured by image details. This is very similar to the existing Apple Watch background feature.
I want to start collecting a series of images that will be added when iOS 16 comes out that go well with hide the clock interaction. If you have a wallpaper that you know works with this feature, please send it to me. Catch me via @jim_gresham, where I’m picking wallpapers for the site. You can also find summaries of upcoming posts, download mid-week downloads, and stay tuned for comments about Apple’s hardware line downs.
