Acer licenses Bangalore-based firm to make multiple smart TVs to be sold on Amazon and Flipkart

Acer has announced its entry into the home entertainment market. The company is making its debut in the Smart TV segment under license from Indkal Technologies based in Bangalore. Acer TVs will debut in September 2021. The company also announced that it will offer smart TVs with different screen sizes. These range from entry-level 32-inch TVs to 70-inch models. Smart TVs will go on sale through Flipkart and Amazon. Acer has yet to confirm more details about its TVs. However, we already know some details about Acer’s upcoming smart TVs thanks to a previous leak. Let’s take a look at more details about the upcoming Acer smart TVs.

Acer smart TVs coming soon

Acer has confirmed the launch of new smart TVs. The company will enter the new category in September 2021. Acer TVs will be available through Amazon and Flipkart. The company has partnered with Bangalore-based Indkal Technologies to create its new offering.

Acer has confirmed that it will offer smart TVs in 32-inch models, all the way up to 70-inch screens. A 91Mobiles report previously said that the new Acer TVs will come in 32, 42, 43, 50, 55, 58, and 70-inch screens running Android TV.

The 32-inch model will feature an HD display with 1.5GB of RAM, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. The company will offer both a standard version of the TV and a bezel-less option.

The 42-inch model will have Full HD resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate. Acer will introduce 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 58-inch and 70-inch models with 4K Ultra HD display. This includes Acer’s 43-inch edge-to-edge 4K Ultra HD Android TV and more. 4K TVs will have 2GB of RAM internally with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 5000:1 contrast ratio. They will also have UHD upscaling technology and all TVs will use LED panels.
