AIM Pro provides jailbroken iOS 14 and 15 users with the same lock screen customization features as iOS 16 users.
There has been no shortage of jailbreak tweaks that replicate the iOS 16 lock screen editing capabilities of older versions of iOS. Today we are happy to show you another affordable option that supports jailbroken iOS 14 and 15 phones.
The latest release is AIM Pro from iOS developer AliMaulana, and it’s a more advanced version of the AIM setup we showed you back in December.
While AIM allowed users to customize their lock screen UI from the Settings app by playing with a dedicated settings panel, AIM Pro is a more consistent interface where users can change the look of their lock screen directly from the Lock Screen or from the Center notifications without using the Settings app. In other words, it’s more like the editing experience in iOS 16.
In the screenshots above, you can see what the new editing interface in AIM Pro looks like. Users can effectively make changes on the fly, watching them in real time as they change, as opposed to visiting the Settings app and then viewing the lock screen, the cycle repeats.
Of course, AIM Pro still provides a settings panel in the Settings app where you can customize your lock screen the old-fashioned way if you’d rather do it like this:
Options here include:
Time
In the time settings panel, users will be able to configure the following settings:
- Enabling and disabling time configurations on demand
- Set your preferred time format (h=hour, m=minute, s=second, a=AM/PM)
- Choose to align left, center, or right.
- Customize background colorization, primary and secondary colors, and/or a custom color.
- Choose between guide, stencil, rounded, black or custom fonts and adjust the font size.
- Adjust the time position using the individual X/Y sliders.
date
In the date settings panel, you can configure all of the following options:
- Enabling and disabling date configurations on demand
- Set your preferred date format (E=day, d=date, M=month, Y=year)
- Choose to align left, center, or right.
- Choose between uppercase, lowercase, lowercase, or no style.
- Customize the weather display for the date
- Choose between Hebrew, Chinese, Islamic or Buddhist calendars.
- Customize background colorization, primary and secondary colors, and/or a custom color.
- Enable or disable weather icon color
- Enable or disable custom fonts, select a custom font, and adjust the font size.
- Adjust the position of the date using the individual X/Y sliders.
Widget
On the widget settings panel, you can configure the following options:
- Enable or disable widgets
- Customize the high/low temperature widget as a circle or a list.
- Select “Sunset”, “Sunrise”, or “Alarm Clock”for the second widget.
- Choose between percentage or phone for battery widget
- Independent setting of background and caption colorization options, including primary and secondary colors, custom color, or use system color.
- Adjust the position of the widgets using the individual X/Y sliders and the size adjustment slider.
Another
In the “Others”settings panel, users will find all the other various options they might need:
- Enable or disable text shadows
- Customize the lock screen text (swipe up to open by default)
- Adjust the missed notification offset with the Y slider
- Hide charging animation
Users can quickly and easily reset everything to factory defaults to start from scratch whenever they want. We love that AIM Pro provides the ability to customize the lock screen directly from the lock screen or Action Center, however we find it strange that AIM was a free customization and that simply allowing editing from the lock screen or Action Center requires a separate setup. tweak with a price tag. Either way, it provides more options for the end user, so it’s not necessarily a bad thing.
If you’re interested in trying out AIM Pro yourself, you can purchase it for $1.49 from the Havoc repository through their favorite package management app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 14 and 15 devices.
Are you going to customize your phone’s lock screen with AIM Pro or will you stay with the free AIM customization? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
