Anno 1800 from Ubisoft is currently free to play

Ubisoft regularly hosts free weekends for some of their most popular titles, and this week players can try out Anno 1800, a real-time strategy city builder. from 12 to 19 April 2022.

Players can go to the official Ubisoft Free Weekend website (link here) and choose their preferred platform to play: Epic Games Store or Ubisoft Connect PC. To play Anno 1800 for free this week, players will need either the Epic Games Launcher or the Ubisoft Connect Launcher on PC.

All content from the game will be unlocked during the free week, allowing players to experience everything the game has to offer until April 19, 2022.

Ubisoft Announces Anno 1800 Free Week April 12-19

The game is available for free right on PC and is one of the most innovative city builder games currently available. The game received the Best PC Game award at Gamescom 2018 and is considered one of the best city-building strategy games.

Anno 1800 received generally positive reviews at launch and has only gotten better with subsequent DLCs, the latest of which was received just yesterday. The game features all sorts of interesting technologies such as trade routes, procedurally generated maps, AI opponents, and naval battles. History buffs are sure to find a lot to like about Anno 1800 as it showcases Ubisoft’s trademark attention to detail when it comes to historical accuracy and authenticity.

Ubisoft is currently having a lot of issues with the publisher, which has reportedly given the green light to another Ghost Recon project. Earlier last year, the publisher also confirmed that the original Splinter Cell was getting a remake.

Though Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake seems to be in a precarious position as neither the developer nor the publisher has released any updates on the state of the game.
