Samsung Galaxy S22 lags behind Apple iPhone 13 in benchmarks
Indeed, if a number of tests by PCMag are to be believed, the iPhone 13 Pro Max performs better than various Samsung Galaxy S22 variants, and by some margin, so to speak. Explanations.
Take the Geekbench 5 benchmarks for example. The iPhone 13 Pro Max scores 1735 points and 4647 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, is “satisfied”with 1232 and 3433 points respectively. In Basemark’s web test, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is well ahead of the Galaxy S22 Ultra and S22+ with 1139 points versus “only”552 and 578 points, respectively.
But still showing impressive results
When it comes to graphics, the results are a bit more mixed. The Galaxy S22 Ultra using FHD resolution displays 60 fps in Aztec Ruins, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max only offers 54, but when we switch to WQHD, the Galaxy S22 Ultra drops to 28 fps.
That being said, these numbers in no way mean that the Galaxy S22 line is bad when it comes to performance. It currently remains one of the best Android smartphones on the market, but according to these benchmarks, which are only ballpark performance figures, Samsung still has a long way to go to match the Cupertino company.
