Apple iPhone 14: specifications and prices become clearer
Apple iPhone 14 unveiled. Specs, pricing, here’s what we think we know.
Expected as usual next September, the iPhone 14 is in development with various players. Everyone is busy preparing for high-volume production of this new line of smartphones from the Apple brand. So the vendors are aware of the latest details and, logically, that information is leaked out. Here’s what we think we know today.
Apple iPhone 14 introduced.
First of all, the various renders of the iPhone 14 show the same design. At least on the surface. Indeed, EverythingApplePro took a very close look at these 3D renderings and found slight changes in microphone placement, rounded corners, and screen edges. With thinner edges, the Cupertino-based company will be able to cram in more of the screen surface that other rumors have already suggested, and rounded corners will allow for a design more similar to that of the Apple Watch Series 7. As such, it will likely need a new generation of protective accessories.
Specifications, prices, here’s what we think we know
On the back, the main camera can be boosted to 48MP, and if Apple uses full resolution in good lighting conditions, this should result in a noticeable improvement in detail and texture. However, by staying at 12 MP, only “small”improvements can be made in these same areas. The other two cameras seem similar to what we know today, but obviously they could have better lenses.
In the chassis, an A16 Bionic processor will power the phone, supported by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. As always, this part is one of the strengths of the apple brand, there is no reason for Apple to change anything at all. There is no doubt that there will be many improvements, especially in terms of performance.
Finally, on the pricing front, it looks like the base version starts at $1,099, the first obvious sign that things are going to get more expensive this year, driven by inflation, chip shortages, the war in Ukraine, and more. As for those waiting for USB-C integration, there’s a good chance we’ll have to make do with it again this time around.
