The Apple iPhone 14 series is expected to launch in September 2022. At the launch event, the company will unveil four new smartphones. According to rumors, there will be no “mini”version of the iPhone this year. Instead, Apple will release two 6.1-inch and two 6.7-inch iPhones. The Pro models are also said to be undergoing a major redesign. Apple is reportedly ditching the notch in favor of a hole punch. A new leak from a trusted expert now suggests that the Apple iPhone 14 Pro will have a pill-shaped notch instead of a wide notch.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro may say goodbye to the notch

Dylan claims the Pro models will have a small tablet in the shape of the iPhone’s front camera. Pro devices will still have Face ID and the corresponding sensors will be located under the display. According to the source, the installation of Face ID sensors has not had a negative impact so far. The leak sort of matches up with some previous reports that also claimed the notch was disappearing. However, those reports suggested that the iPhone Pro would have a hole punch.

Non-Pro iPhones will still have a notch. According to reports, the company will release the iPhone 14 with a 6.1-inch display and the iPhone 14 Max with a 6.7-inch panel. Pro models will continue to feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays.

There are also rumors that Apple will introduce a higher megapixel sensor on the Pro models this year. According to reports, 14 Pro models may get a 48-megapixel main camera sensor. Design renders of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max have been leaked. According to the leaked render images, the Pro Max model will feature titanium construction. The standard Pro model may receive similar treatment. Both Pro iPhones will also feature triple cameras on the back.

We can expect Apple to introduce a new, faster A16 Bionic chip and more RAM on the iPhone 14 series. The launch is still a long way off and we can expect more details to emerge in the coming weeks.
