Apple may announce several new MacBooks during WWDC
Several new MacBooks may be officially unveiled during WWDC, but none of them feature the Apple Silicon M3™ chip.
It looks like Apple is gearing up for a new generation of MacBooks. As usual, one might say. But for this cuvée, of course, it would be advisable not to have false joys. If there really were new cars, novelties would not matter much. Explanation.
Several new MacBooks could be issued during WWDC
For weeks, if not months, there have been rumors about the next major public event of the Cupertino company, or rather about the announced products. It must be said that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is always rich in this regard. This year, the celebrations begin on June 5th. And according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we should see at least three new MacBooks during this event: the 15-inch MacBook Air, the new 13-inch MacBook Air, and the new 13-inch MacBook Pro.
That being said, while the newest machines in the segment are equipped with new Apple Silicon chips, such as last year’s MacBook Air M2, according to Mark Gurman’s sources, we shouldn’t expect M3 chips in this generation. Instead, the Apple brand will use chips that are very close to the M2 in terms of power, but with improvements in other segments that are not yet known.
but none of them are equipped with Apple Silicon M3 chip?
The rest remains a mystery. It’s hard to say what’s new in these upcoming MacBooks, but it’s worth noting that the American giant isn’t currently offering the 15-inch MacBook Air M2. There’s already a very good 13-inch model, as well as a 13-inch MacBook Pro, but Apple seems to think those machines need an update too. It will be necessary, when it is not the custom, to be patient in order to know exactly what it returns.
It’s hard to imagine now that a few new MacBooks will be able to hold the WWDC stage for long enough. But there are also rumors that the long-awaited mixed reality headset could be coming. Apple used to surprise people, anything is possible.
