What is Apple Music Sing?

Almost every song available in the Apple Music catalog has lyrics embedded. In the Music app, you can see animated lyrics in full screen, perfectly in sync with the music. You can tap a verse to jump directly to a part of it, share multiple lines of lyrics, and more.

Apple Music Sing will further enhance your lyric experience. An announcement posted to Apple Newsroom on December 6, 2022 says the feature will make it easier to sing along to tens of millions of songs on the streaming service.

Apple Music Sing offers multiple lyric views to help fans take the lead, duet, sing along, and more, all integrated into the ultimate Apple Music lyric experience. Combined with an ever-expanding catalog of tens of millions of the world’s most popular songs, Apple Music Sing makes it simple and fun for everyone, wherever they are.

Apple Music Sing takes advantage of machine learning and artificial intelligence to separate vocals from backing vocals and instruments.

What features does Apple Music Sing support?

Apple Music Sing combines several features, both new and old, to make lyrics more subscriber-friendly. You can turn up the vocal volume, view lyrics for backing vocals, and even sing along to your favorite tracks with other people. Read: How to Listen to Spotify Offline on Apple Watch

  • Adjustable Vocals: This feature allows you to make the vocals louder or quieter so you can sing along with the original vocalist or take the lead if you want.
  • Real-time Lyrics: We’ve known Apple Music animated lyrics before, but Apple Music Sing’s real-time lyrics really dance to the rhythm of the vocals.
  • Backing Vocals: Apple Music separates simultaneous vocals from the main vocals, with backing vocals animating independently.
  • Duet View: This feature allows two people to sing a duet, with the vocalists displayed on opposite sides of the screen. Or several people can sing along to tracks originally sung by several singers.

Apple will release over 50 playlists created to support the Sing feature. These playlists will include “all the epic songs, duets, choruses and anthems that make people around the world sing along,”the announcement said.

When will Apple Music Sing be available?
