Apple is planning an iPhone 14 event on September 7 under the slogan “Far Out”.

Apple has announced that it will be holding its most important press event of the year to unveil the iPhone 14 family on September 7 at 10 a.m.

The company sent invitations to select members of the press, and TechCrunch Editor-in-Chief Matthew Panzarino shared them on his Twitter.

The event will take place on Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00 AM PT (1:00 PM Eater Time) at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park headquarters in California.

This will be another pre-recorded presentation. Anyone will be able to follow the broadcast on apple.com, on the company’s TV app through Apple’s official YouTube channel. For more information, visit apple.com/apple-events.

The invitation shows a galaxy cluster drawn on the outline of the Apple logo in the middle, as if the logo is some kind of whirlwind that sucks everything in. The slogan reads: “Far away.”Of course, Kremlin scholars and Apple fans are already wondering what the invitation graphics might hint at.

What could the iPhone 14 invitation hint at?

Here’s a closer picture of the image. Looks like a snapshot of space – looks like new pictures from the Webb telescope. pic.twitter.com/xyaOkOzHHg

Given the space theme and the galaxy cluster in the background, perhaps Apple wants to tell us that the iPhone 14’s camera is great for capturing cosmic images like those coming from the new Webb telescope, as Neil Cybart suggested.

Hopefully the camera zoom feature we all hope for! pic.twitter.com/A5NGpnNAM2

Ben Banjarin, on the other hand, thinks the image hints at “the zoom camera feature we’re all hoping for.”Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that the iPhone 14 will feature a vastly improved wide camera on the back with a new 48-megapixel sensor capable of capturing 4K video.

Will the iPhone 14 support Astrophotography mode?

The new camera will apparently use pixel binning, which combines four pixels into one, so you get a twelve-megapixel image with much more detail in low light conditions. Samsung Galaxy flagship phones offer deeper optical zoom than the iPhone 13 series and include software features for astrophotography.

Now, rumors were hoping to see some astrophotography features with the iPhone 13, but that didn’t work out. The idea was to point the phone at the sky to enter astrophotography mode.

The software will detect stars, the moon, or other celestial objects to optimize the image pipeline for night sky imaging through longer exposure times, more complex internal processing, and other tricks.
