It also looks like regular fans won’t be able to avoid these ads by paying more. Bloomberg reports that Apple currently intends to advertise across all three offerings. In other words, customers will see ads they pay for a special package, whether they access matches through their existing TV+ subscription or watch a free match on the TV app.

This initiative is part of Apple’s massive program to increase advertising revenue. They currently stand at around $4 billion a year, but Todd Terezi, director of the Specialty Division, would like to push that figure up to $10 billion or more. To do this, the Cupertino-based company recently placed more ads on its App Store and is testing the integration of ads into search results in its Maps app.
