Apple may extend your AppleCare+ subscription. It will increase from 60 days to one year after purchase.

Of course, we all would like our electronic devices to work flawlessly for many years to come. Unfortunately, this is not always the case for a variety of reasons, whether it be malfunctions or breakdowns. Apple offers its customers the AppleCare+ warranty, which is in addition to the standard one-year warranty on Apple devices.

However, buyers must decide to purchase this additional warranty within 60 days of purchasing their device. Which still leaves buyers two months. This is both a little and a lot. Today, according to a new report from MacRumors, the Cupertino-based company will extend that window to a full year. Before you start jumping into the ceiling, know that there are certain conditions.

It will increase from 60 days to one year after purchase.

For starters, your device must be under a one-year warranty period. The device will then need to be reviewed by Apple to determine if the AppleCare+ program will resolve the issue under normal circumstances.

In other words, if you decide to buy an iPhone and wait until you enroll in AppleCare+ because you don’t know if you’ll need it or not, don’t panic, you’ll have a whole year to make that decision. If by chance your smartphone’s screen breaks or something happens to your device that requires you to pay fees not covered by your warranty, you can opt for AppleCare+, which may cost you less in some cases.

Cupertino has not yet formalized this extension of the program. In other words, at the moment no one knows when this change will come into effect, but it will be very good news for customers who do not necessarily want to pay for AppleCare + immediately after paying for the already significant amount for iPhone, iPad. or Mac.
