ArcheAge 2: Korean MMORPG coming to consoles and PC
Kakao Games and XLGAMES are formalizing the development of ArcheAge 2 using the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine.
Jake Song, Executive Producer of XLGAMES Studio, unveiled ArcheAge 2 at the G-Star Show in Busan, South Korea, and promises a quality experience:
ArcheAge 2 is a seamless open world MMORPG that will be the sequel to the world famous game ArcheAge. This new installment is being developed as a cross-platform game that you can enjoy on both PC and next generation consoles. First of all, we are focused on dynamic battles and creating an exciting storyline. We are committed to AAA-level visuals with Unreal Engine 5 and intend to deliver a non-linear open-world experience based on progression and without interruption.
ArcheAge 2 will continue to take place on the Aurora continent:
ArcheAge 2 has the same lore as ArcheAge, however the storyline progresses differently. While ArcheAge I is centered around a narrative storyline, ArcheAge 2 will focus more on personal adventures and stories. The script is similar to the ArcheAge script. It depicts the time when Auroria was discovered and people began to settle there. The plot will be to discover and unravel the secrets of an ancient civilization that has been forgotten for thousands of years, thereby merging with the natural environment.
The trading system will improve in ArcheAge 2
Committed to the evolution of ArcheAge2, XLGAMES announces improvements that will surpass the original game or the Unchained version that has been played by over 20 million users:
Trading in ArcheAge has appealed to many players, but the system had a few drawbacks. In ArcheAge 2, we intend to improve the trading system so that players can trade alone, in teams, or in raids. Another popular feature of ArcheAge was the housing feature. We intend to improve it with more customization, allowing players to live in cities with their friends and even create their own cities with their guild members. We would like to express our gratitude to the countless users around the world who have supported ArcheAge. The development team is working very hard to get you back with ArcheAge 2.
