The Asus 8Z features a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR playback, and a maximum brightness of 1100 nits. There is also Gorilla Glass Victus on the front to protect the screen from scratches. Under the hood of the phone is the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor clocked at up to 2.84GHz and Adreno 660 GPU. The phone will be available with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. It also supports multiple 5G network bands.

As for optics, there is a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF and optical image stabilization. It is followed by a 12MP Sony IMX363 lens. On the front, the phone is equipped with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 dual-pixel camera with autofocus. In software, the phone runs Android 11 out of the box in India.
