Asus has confirmed the release of its next gaming smartphone. The Asus ROG Phone 6 will be released on July 5th. Yes, more than a month before the launch. Ahead of the official launch, Asus has confirmed some key details of the ROG Phone 6. The device will launch globally on July 5th. It will also feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship mobile platform.

Asus ROG Phone 6 specs confirmed ahead of July launch
Asus has confirmed that the ROG Phone 6 will debut worldwide on July 5th. It is not known if the phone will be released in India at the same time as the global event. While we’re waiting for this, the company has confirmed that the gaming flagship phone will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This is no surprise as the upcoming ROG phone was expected to feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship smartphone chipset.
For those who don’t know, the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is the successor to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It is claimed to offer 10% more power and up to 30% higher efficiency. In addition to that, the 4nm chipset has a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. It still has a 1+3+4 cluster with one main core, three high performance cores, and four efficient cores.
In addition to this, Asus has confirmed that the upcoming gaming phone will support 165Hz refresh rates. The teaser image also shows that the phone will have slightly thick top and bottom bezels. Asus will also likely offer a stereo speaker setup to enhance the gaming and multimedia experience. Of course, the phone must have an AMOLED display.
Other details of the phone are being kept under wraps. We can expect the phone to pack a 6,000mAh battery and offer at least 65W fast charging. There will be a cooling chamber under the hood to keep heat under control. More details about the phone should be available in the coming days.
