Asus has announced several new laptops in India today. In total, the company announced eight new gaming laptops – two of them in the Asus ROG Strix Scar series, two in the Asus ROG Strix series, and four in the TUF series.

The updated line of Republic of Gamers (ROG) gaming laptops are powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core H-series processors and AMD Ryzen 6000-series processors. Along with that, as you might expect, these laptops also offer plenty of customization options and RGB lighting. Let’s take a closer look at the recently released Asus ROG Strix Scar 15, 17, Strix G15 and G17.

Asus ROG Strix Scar 15, 17, Strix G15, G17 Price in India and Availability

The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 starts at Rs 2,64,990 and the ROG Strix Scar 15 starts at Rs 2,59,990. Both models will be available on Amazon, Flipkart, Asus online store and offline stores across India starting today. The Asus ROG Strix G15 and G17 start at Rs 1,06,990 and Rs 1,02,990 respectively and will be available through Flipkart, Asus E\e-shop and offline stores across India from today.

Specifications Asus ROG Strix Scar 15/17

Aside from the screen size change, the rest of the specs of both models remain the same. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers a 15.6-inch QHD LCD screen with a 240Hz refresh rate, as well as support for Dolby Vision HDR and Adaptive Sync. The 17-inch model features a 17-inch QHD display and retains all display features.

Inside, these laptops feature the latest Intel Core i9-12900H processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU and a dedicated MUX switch. It also comes with up to 64GB ultra-fast DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB SSD. A dedicated MUX switch helps reduce latency and further improve machine performance.

In addition, the Strix Scar comes with customizable protective caps and RGB lighting to add vibrant colors to suit your gaming style. The laptop supports USB Type-C charging for quick refueling. The machine comes with a powerful 280W power adapter that charges the laptop up to 50% in just 30 minutes.

Other features include WiFi 6E, two USB Type-A USB3.2 Gen1, one Type-C, one Type-C with Thunderbolt 4, one LAN, and one HDMI 2.1. All four laptops run Windows 11.

Specifications Asus ROG Strix G15/G17

These are slightly more affordable Asus laptops. They are also available in two screen sizes: 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches. These machines are powered by AMD R9-6900HX processor with NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti GPU. They also feature an updated backlit ROG logo and a new dot matrix pattern that will definitely make the laptop stand out from the crowd.

The laptops come with ROG Smart Cooling for efficient thermal management. As with the Asus ROG Strix Scar series, you also get a Mux switch to enhance your gaming experience. In addition, Asus ROG Strix 15 and Strix 17 support fast charging, and a quick 30-minute charge will get you up to 50% charge. The Asus ROG Strix G15 weighs 2.3kg and the ROG Strix G17 weighs 2.7kg.

The laptops are equipped with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a PCIE SSD M.2 ITB SSD slot. The Strix G15 is equipped with a 15.6″Full HD IPS display with a 300Hz refresh rate, 100% SRGB and 300 nits peak brightness, while on the other hand, the Strix G17 is equipped with a 17.3″IPS WQHD 165Hz display with 100% DCI- P3, brightness 300 nits. Port options include three USB3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, a LAN port, one HDMI 2.0b, and one audio jack. Other features include a per-key RGB backlit keyboard, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 90Wh battery, and 240W fast charging.
