Asus, the brand now synonymous with gamers everywhere, is expanding its portfolio with the introduction of the 2022 ROG Zephyrus M16. As expected, this new gaming laptop comes with the latest processor, ample RAM and other powerful components to deliver an overall better gaming experience. The laptop is also designed to provide creators and streamers with a solid experience as the company places this product at the center of speed, power and portability.

Asus has priced its Zephyrus M16 2022 laptop at $2,357 for the base model. Gamers can get it from April 8 on the Asus online store, Amazon, Flipkart, and offline channels including Croma, Reliance, and Vijay Sales.

It looks like Asus is really doubling down on the gaming laptop market this year. The launch of the ROG Zephyrus M16 2022 comes just weeks after the Taiwanese firm unveiled the ROG Strix Scar 15, 17, Strix G15, and G17 with 12th Gen Intel processors and AMD SoCs. In March, the firm launched TUF F15, F17, TUF A15 and A17 in the country. The company’s aggressive approach should definitely cause concern among competitors in the same segment, such as HP and Lenovo.

Diving into the specs of the Zephyrus M16 2022, Asus is offering it in two processor-based flavors – the 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H and the Core i7-12700H. In terms of GPU, the gaming laptop is divided into three variants – Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080Ti, RTX 3070Ti, and RTX 3060. All models also feature a MUX switch that allows gamers to easily switch between GPUs to maximize performance or battery life. This is paired with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM (expandable to 48GB with 16GB of internal storage).

In terms of storage, the ROG Zephyrus M16 2022 gets up to 1x 2TB M2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD (included) along with support for 2 x M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD slots. Connectivity options are plenty for gamers too, including Thunderbolt 4 (USB 4.0, DP 1.4, and PD 3.0), USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery, 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, MicroSD card reader, lock Kensington., Kensington lock, RJ45 connector and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Zephyrus M16 2022 features a 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 165Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 500 nits brightness and 3ms response time. Some additional features: adaptive sync, Pantone check and Dolby Vision. With a total of six speakers (2x 2W woofers with Smart Amp technology + 2x 2W tweeters), the gaming laptop is powered by a 90Wh battery and weighs about 2kg.
