Bethesda: Redfall and Starfield pushed back to the first half of 2023
Redfall by Arkane Studios Austin and Starfield by Bethesda Game Studios will no longer be released later this year on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
If Redfall was supposed to come out this summer and Starfield on November 11, then American publisher Bethesda decided to delay the launch dates for Microsoft’s Xbox exclusives by a few months: “The teams at Arkane Studios Austin and Bethesda Game Studios have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to so that you get the best and most perfect releases. We want to thank everyone for the enthusiasm shown for our two games. This energy is a big part of what inspires us every day and fuels our own enthusiasm for what we create. We can’t wait to share the first gameplay footage. ”
Arkane Studios Austin and Bethesda Game Studios add: “We need more time to bring our ideas to life. Thank you very much for your continued support. Redfall is our most ambitious game and we can’t wait to show it off soon (…) We can’t wait for you to play Starfield, but we need more time. We are so grateful for all the support and encouragement and can’t wait to show you the game soon. ”
Microsoft loses two big exclusives for 2022
Sci-fi RPG Starfield appeared at last year’s Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, marking its first real appearance since it was announced in 2018. Redfall, announced in June 2021, is an open-world first-person shooter that can be played alone or cooperatively with up to four players. The latter will have to face the legion of vampires who have taken over Redfall, a once peaceful and charming island.
