Batman: Joker deleted scene
First meeting between Barry Keoghan’s Joker and Robert Pattinson’s Batman.
WARNING: SPOILERS
In the last minutes of the Batman feature film, directed by Matt Reeves, the character Riddler (or Edward Nashton), played by Paul Dano, is talking to another Arkham Asylum inmate, but his face is not visible. However, his laughter implied that it could be the famous Joker, or even another enemy of the Dark Knight, namely Jonathan Crane (Scarecrow).
Barry Keoghan plays the Joker in Batman.
A deleted scene from Batman’s interrogation with the Joker at Arkham Asylum, revealed by Warner Bros after publishing three new puzzles on the viral website Rataalada.com, now formalizes the presence of the Clown Prince of Crime portrayed by Barry Keoghan in The Batman. The famous scene takes place when The Riddler has already killed Gotham’s police commissioner as part of his grand plan to destroy the city.
“It’s almost our anniversary, isn’t it?”Joker said. When Batman asks the Joker about Riddler, showing him photos of his recent crimes, he replies, “It’s violence, it’s so baroque. He loves puzzles, doesn’t he? He’s so meticulous, it’s like he’s been planning this all his life.”He then tells Batman who he believes the Riddler is: a “nobody”who “wants to be somebody”and whose motives are “very, very personal”. Asked why he leaves notes about Batman at all his crime scenes, Mr. J replies, “He might be your fan, or maybe he has a grudge against you too. Maybe they have you have a main course.
Joker in Batman 2?
While Irish comedian Barry Keoghan may reprise his role as the Joker in the television series Arkham Asylum (tentative title), he is not expected to appear in any future films. For director Matt Reeves, that wink is first and foremost fan service. The point is to make it clear that important characters like the Joker already exist in the second year of Robert Pattinson’s Batman service in this version of Gotham.
