BGMI announces Google Play Best of 2021 Free Rewards: Iron Wing Pan, RP Points and more.
Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has announced a new set of rewards for its players after it was voted the best mobile game on the Google Play store in 2021. The game was launched as a revamped title after the former Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds mobile title, unsurprisingly named PUBG Mobile, was banned in India as the country suppressed China server related apps.
As part of the new rewards that players will receive, BGMI is adding a new version of the famous PUBG frying pan, which is a favorite among players. A new Iron Frying Pan with the Iron Wings pattern was added to the game as a permanent addition. Players will also receive the Winter Antlers skin on the QBZ machine. The red themed skin is marked as a reward that players can receive in the game, and it is not yet clear if it will only appear if they win the round on BGMI.
The game will also offer players RP points, which will be specifically rewarded as part of special rewards honoring the game’s rank on the Google Play Store. The exact payout of these points on BGMI has not been detailed, but players can log into the game to check out the special rewards for themselves.
BGMI was renamed PUBG Mobile after Krafton, the game’s holding company, failed to engage in exhaustive negotiations with Indian government officials to bring the game back to Indian shores. Since then, a number of cosmetic changes have been made to the current version, including notifications that this is a virtual world and not a real one.
The game also introduced new parental controls to check the amount of money an underage player can spend on the game, following multiple reports of a previous PUBG Mobile game in which young players were reported to spend exorbitant amounts through their parents’ accounts – or harm themselves if it was prohibited.
