BGMI: Here’s Why Players on Budget Devices Shouldn’t Use AKM, Groza and M762
We’ve all been to BGMI where we’ve been robbed of a seemingly easy kill simply because the weapon and device we’re using seems incompatible. Perhaps no other factor is more important in determining the outcome of a strike than recoil, and quite often higher-end devices usually have an edge in this regard.
Simply put, a device that offers a better/higher frame rate will be able to adjust to the recoil and allow the player to adjust their aim quickly and often, unlike lower end devices. Simply because lower end devices will miss important frames needed for reconfiguration, resulting in the loss of important information, resulting in poor aiming and, more often than not, close encounter damage.
Usually in BGMI, weapons with 7.62 ammo do the most damage, but on the other hand, they also have the most recoil.
The hilarious video demonstrates why BGMI players on budget devices should avoid high recoil weapons.
This video by u/KachaKhiladiArybapry perfectly captures the feeling of extreme frustration when faced with a problem, as 7.62 caliber weapons tend to be very effective at close range or even medium range. The problem with BGMI’s 7.62 caliber weapons is that their effectiveness plummets with range, as it often takes more than skill to compensate for recoil.
Low end devices, due to their tendency to drop frames or simply freeze during such meetings, can often fail in situations such as video. Thus, if BGMI players do play on budget devices, they should avoid weapons that use 7.62 caliber ammo, namely:
- AKM
- MK47 Mutant
- STORM
- M762
Sniper Rifles and 7.62 DMRs are still quite useful, as their low rate of fire negates the recoil effect as players aren’t going to fire in quick succession. As such, any weapon with a high rate of fire and 7.62 points should be avoided like the plague at BGMI on budget devices. Considering only hardware limitations, it would probably be better for Krafton to release a BGMI-Lite version along with the game soon, as was previously available for PUBG Mobile in the form of PUBG Mobile Lite.
