BGMI banned 70,543 cheater accounts in a week: check out the list of scammers

In line with the developers’ intention to maintain a level playing field at BGMI, Krafton suspended an additional 70,543 accounts between January 3rd and 9th, 2022. The developers announced on their blog that these accounts are permanently banned from playing Battlegrounds.

While this is a positive change, on the one hand, it also means that the number of cheaters in the game continues to grow. Developers have been consistently sharing sanctions against cheaters for some time now, and the number of bans is only increasing.

Despite the BGMI equipment ban notice, scammers continue to plague the battlefield. Perhaps this indicates that even more stringent measures need to be introduced in order to have a playing field in the game.

In the same blog post, the developers also shared the names of the players who received the ban. For a game as popular in a country as BGMI, it’s crucial to have a level playing field without cheaters, but right now it looks like quite a challenge.

To achieve this goal, BGMI players must also remain vigilant and report suspicious players who show signs of cheating. Blocking players to this extent often results in some collateral damage, as non-cheating players can often get hit by an ax from time to time.

On a PC, an anti-cheat solution is much easier to implement, as you can install additional software to detect cheaters. However, in recent times even anti-cheating software has been compromised due to the complexity of the cheat software used.

It will be interesting to see if the developers share more data on how many players have already received a device ban. While the developers have not explicitly shared this information.
