BGMI Replaces Sanhok with Vikendi Map for BMPS Season 1 Week 2

On Sunday, the first week of the first ever professional BGMI series, i.e. Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS) Season 1 League Stage, came to an end. A total of 24 round-robin matches were played between three groups of eight teams each. After the end of the first week, there are still 72 matches left to complete the league stage, where each team will play 48 matches.

The second week of the BMPS Season 1 League Stage starts tomorrow, and all the teams, together with the audience, are getting ready for it. BGMI Pro Series S1 League Stage Round-Robin 2/ Week 2 will take place from May 26 to 29. The organizers have made a new change to the map schedule. To increase the competitive level of the tournament, Vikendi was introduced instead of Sanhok. The match schedule for week 2 is shown below.

Vikendi is a 6km x 6km map that is larger than Sanhok but smaller than Erangel and Miramar. The map has been ignored in previous official events and is now being implemented in BMPS Season 1 League Stage Week 2.

Results of the first week of the BGMI Pro Series league

During the first week, a total of 24 matches were played across four in-game days, and Team Soul dominated the points table from day one. The team has over 200 points in their 16 matches. Goblin from Team Soul leads the leaderboard in kills with 53 kills, followed by Scream with 39 kills from BB Esports.

OR Esports is in second place with 192 points and Nigma Galaxy is in third place with 156 points. Team XO has been redlisted but has plenty of time to make it into the top 16. It will be interesting to see how the Soul team will defend their first place and compete against underdog teams.
