Blonde: Ana de Armas will play Marilyn Monroe on the small screen

Between excesses of all kinds, sex, drugs, alcohol, movies and depression, Marilyn Monroe leads a terribly busy life, while the actress, model and singer is considered the sex symbol of all of America.

In addition to the imperial Ana de Armas (“Blade Runner 2049”, “No Time to Die”, “Deep Water”), the cast of “Blonde”includes Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Caspar Phillipson, Evan Williams, Toby Huss, Julianne Nicholson, Lily Fisher, Sarah Paxton, David Warshofsky, Xavier Samuel, Michael Masini, Spencer Garrett, Chris Lemmon, Rebecca Wisoki, Scoot McNairy, Dan Butler, Garret Dillahunt, Lucy DeVito and Ned Bellamy. The biopic for Netflix through Plan B Entertainment is produced by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tracey Landon, Scott Robertson, with Christina Oh serving as executive producer.

Marilyn Monroe’s biopic “Blonde”will stream exclusively on Netflix starting September 28. Director Andrew Dominik wrote and directed the film based on the best-selling book of the same name written by five-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Joyce Carol Oates. This film blends reality and fiction to reimagine the life of Norma Jean Mortenson, better known as Marilyn Monroe, exploring the disconnect between the Hollywood icon’s public and private life.
