Considering the starting price, it’s no wonder Cadillac bills it as an “ultra-luxury”model. While the brand hasn’t gone into too much detail about the car’s performance yet, it has revealed some aspects of the sedan. Celestiq will offer hand-built materials, all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and GM’s next-generation Ultra Cruise driver assistance system. The powertrain will also be a GM job, it’s Ultium technology.
The interior should offer a customizable experience for both driver and passengers. For example, the roof is equipped with “smart glass divided into four frames.”The idea is that each person in the car can determine their own level of transparency.
A very high-end $300,000 model that won’t be available until 2025.
The cabin also has multiple screens, including a 55-inch LED instrument cluster in total. Cadillac explains that it also includes “digital electronic blinds”functionality. This will allow the front passenger to watch the video without distracting the driver. There are also screens on the back of each front headrest with a touch console between the seats in each row.
Although the model shown by Cadillac is just a demo model, the final model will be very similar. The Celestiq is expected to go on sale in 2024 and be available in 2025, according to the Motor Authority.
