Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Part One) pushed back to 2023
Sony Pictures Animation is revising the release schedule for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Part One) and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Part Two).
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Part One), the sequel to the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, has been officially rescheduled from October 7 this year to June 2, 2023. The release was leaked the day before. Sony Pictures Animation’s CinemaCon presentation will take place next week in Las Vegas.
As a result, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Part Two is now scheduled for March 29, 2024. The films will be screened in large premium formats and in IMAX. Directed by Joaquim dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Delay Shakes Up Sony Pictures Animation and Sony Pictures Entertainment Schedule
Sony is promoting their other animated film Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile by Josh Gordon and Will Speck from November 18 to October 7, 2022, released on July 7, 2023, with Sidney Sweeney and Dakota Johnson.
There’s also Denzel Washington’s new collaboration with director Antoine Fuqua, The Equalizer 3, scheduled for September 1, 2023. The studio’s Korean War film, Devotion, directed by J.D. Dillard and starring Jonathan Majors and Glen Powell, is scheduled for a limited release on October 14, before expanding on October 21, 2022 to hit theaters on October 28, 2022.
