Hogwarts Legacy Traits: How to Upgrade Gear

In Hogwarts Legacy, you can upgrade your gear and apply traits to gain certain power-ups and perks. These abilities will help you survive against other wizards and magical creatures during combat. As you progress through the game, you will complete more difficult missions. To make sure you survive these missions, it is imperative that you have the right gear. To help you, this guide will tell you how to change and upgrade your equipment.

What are Traits in Hogwarts Legacy

Traits allow you to add certain perks and bonuses to your equipment. This includes additional defense against certain opponents in the game, or increased attack. Here is a list of all traits in Hogwarts Legacy:

• Protego Defense – Reduces damage from the Dark Wizard.
• Amphibious Defense I – Reduces damage from earth swamps.
• Goblin-Silver Resistance I – Reduces damage from goblins.
• Necromantic Protection I – Reduces Inferi damage.
• Anti-Venom I – Reduces damage from spiders.
• Cushioning I – Reduces damage from trolls.

If you’re a fan of the HP books and movies, then you’ll recognize these hostile creatures. By using traits, you can increase your defense against them. Also, the number next to the buff indicates that you can upgrade them further to make them more effective. This list is based on gameplay reveal and more will be available when the game is released.

How can you upgrade your equipment

Since Hogwarts Legacy is an RPG, you can upgrade your character’s stats with clothing. But first, you need to unlock the Requirement Room. Here you will find many options regarding your equipment in the game. To upgrade your equipment, head to the Room of Requirement and find the Loom. Using the loom, you can level up your equipment, as well as apply new abilities to it.

There are many ways to get new gear. It can be in the form of side quests or the main storyline. Some equipment will have unknown traits. To identify them, you can use the Identification Station in the Requirement Room. There are currently two gear-related achievements, with more to come in the future. Here are the revealed achievements:
