What are wounds in Warhammer 40k Darktide (system explained)
Warhammer 40000 (Wh40k) Darktide is coming soon and available to all PC players on Steam. This first person shooter will take you to the city of Tertium where you will face several brutal fights. You can also die there, but don’t worry, thanks to the HP segments, you will instantly resurrect. However, when talking about HP, many players come across Curio, which gives wound buffs. For those who don’t know, Curio works just like the amulet in the game. The downside is that few players are familiar with this buff, and it’s not detailed in the game. Which makes the player wonder what Wounds is doing in Warhammer 40000 (40k) Darktide. If the same issue is bothering you, don’t worry, we are here to help. In this guide, we’ll explain every aspect of the new wound system so you don’t miss out on all the fun.
How do wounds work in Warhammer 40,000 Darktide?
In Warhammer 40,000 Darktide, Wounds help you gain an extra segment (section) on the HP bar. So if you have 3 default segments on your health bar then the Curio with Wounds buff will add more. It depends on how much wound buff Curio has, if he has +2 then he will add 2 sections to HP. As we all know, this will automatically give you a better chance of dying and resurrecting. So if you’re at level 8 and heading to the shop, make sure you equip this item in your slot.
Players may even lose these wound segments if they take the grimoires available in the game. This will corrupt the optional or standard HP partition and turn it purple. This corruption can only be restored after you go to the medical department and heal yourself. Otherwise, you’ll just be stuck with a corrupted purple bar and you’ll be less likely to die and resurrect. Also, make sure you don’t wear grimoires while you heal. This is because the Grimoires will prevent you from regaining your lost wound streak.
That’s all there is to wounds in Warhammer 40000 (Wh40k) Darktide. While you’re here, check out all the mission types available in the game.
