As the leader of your cult, you will need to preach sermons and put doctrine into practice for your followers. Doctrines are permanent improvements that you will discover as you receive Divine inspiration. When unlocking a doctrine, you will have to choose between two options and lose the other option. Best Doctrines in Cult of the Lamb

There are 5 types of doctrines in Cult of the Lamb, each with 4 levels. All doctrines in this game are good, but some are better depending on how you feel about your cult. However, here are the best doctrines at each level for each type.

Subsistence Doctrines in Cult of the Lamb

• Level 1 – Feast Ritual: Unlock the Feast Ritual. Throw a grand feast for your followers to satisfy their hunger and gain +25 Faith.
• Level 2 – Grass Eater Trait: All members of the Cult will gain the Grass Eater trait. No negative Faith when the Follower eats food made from grass.
• Level 3 – Harvest Ritual: Perform a Ritual in your temple that will make all seeds immediately ready for harvest.
• Level 4 – Substance Encouragement: All members of the Cult will gain the Substance Encouragement trait. Get 20 units. faith when performing a brainwashing ritual.

Doctrine of the afterlife

• Level 1 – Faith in Sacrifice Trait: All members of the Cult gain the Faith in Sacrifice trait. +20 Faith when another Cult member is sacrificed.
• Level 2 – Resurrection Ritual: Perform a ritual in your temple that will allow you to bring a dead follower back to life.
• Level 3 – Die Well Young: All members of the Cult will gain the “Die Young Well”trait. Gain +10 Faith if the Elder is sacrificed, killed, or consumed, but lose -20 Faith if the Elder dies of natural causes.
• Fourth level – “Return to Earth”: unlocks a natural burial building. The corpses of dead Followers can return to the ground, becoming fertilizer.

Doctrine of Work and Worship

• First level – Diligence: All members of the Cult gain Diligence. Increase your work speed by 15%.
• Second level – Inspiration: Inspire a follower to greatly increase their loyalty. Replaces the Blessing action.
• Tier 3 – Glory of Construction: Perform a ritual at your temple that will immediately build all structures currently under construction.
• Fourth level – Holy day: perform a ritual in your temple, declaring a day of rest. Your Followers will not work that day and will receive +80 Faith.

Doctrine of law and order

• First level – Follower’s Ascension Ritual: Perform a Ritual in your temple where you can take the Follower’s spirit to a higher plane of existence. All followers get loyalty.
• The second level is the wedding: perform a ritual in your temple to marry one of your followers. Gain 30 Faith.
• The third level is faith in the remission of sins. Trait: freedom above all. Each day that starts without prisoners gains +10 Faith.
• Fourth level – tax collector: perform a ritual in your temple in which you appoint a follower as your tax collector, tasked with collecting money from other cult members.

Property Doctrine

• Tier One – Extort Tithes: Unlocks the Extort Tithes follower action. Collect 1 coin from the Follower once a day.
• The second level is the “faith in false idols”trait: all cult members will gain the “false idols”trait. Gain more faith when placing a decorative building.
• The third level is charity for the poor: perform a ritual in your temple where you distribute gold to all followers to increase their loyalty. You will also receive +10 Faith.
• Level 4 – Devotee Trait: All cult members will gain the Devotee Trait. Get more faith by preaching.
