How to Preserve Data on Your DD2 in Backups
You can manually backup your game files after each play session if you are concerned that corrupted game files would lead you to lose your progress. These files are located in the following location:
- C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\LocalLow\RedHook\Darkest Dungeon II\SaveFiles
Transfer these files to a different folder. If your save becomes corrupted, you can still salvage some progress by simply replacing the corrupted files with the ones you last duplicated. Another reason you might want to support them is the fact that DD2 records both victories and defeats in battle. Unless you make a backup of the stored file and start over from scratch, you cannot undo them.
