DateFormatter allows jailbreakers to customize the date format on the lock screen
With a recently released free jailbreak tweak dubbed DateFormatter by iOS developer Saud Alshaman, hackers can easily change the format of the date indicator that appears just below the time on the lock screen.
DateFormatter supports a wide variety of different date formats, many of which are well documented online for your enjoyment.
As is the case with most date formatting jailbreak tweaks, users will have to enter their preferred date formatting themselves, and the tweak will take care of the rest.
Once installed, you’ll find a dedicated settings panel in the Settings app where you can enter your own date formatting:
In addition to entering your preferred date format, you can turn the on-demand setting on or off in the same settings panel. A respring is not required for the changes to take effect.
Those interested in trying out the new DateFormatter jailbreak tweak can download it for free from the BigBoss repository via their favorite package management app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 14 devices and is publicly available on the developer’s GitHub page.
