Devil In The White City: Keanu Reeves’ first big role on the small screen
Canadian-American actor Keanu Reeves will play the title role in the film adaptation of the television series The Devil in the White City, produced by Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Currently showing Matrix Resurrections, Keanu Reeves, who has been strongly requested, is in talks with the crews of the streaming platform Hulu to star in Sam Shaw’s series Devil In The White City (Castle Rock, Manhattan). It’s a significant step forward for the adaptation, which has been in various stages of development since Leonardo DiCaprio bought the film rights to the book in 2010 and offered to turn it into a feature film at Paramount Pictures, starring Martin Scorsese as director. Note that Todd Field (In the Bedroom, Little Children) will direct the first two episodes.
Devil In The White City Is Finally Moving Forward
The Devil in the White City tells the true story of two men whose fates were forever bound by the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893. It tells the story of Daniel H. Burnham, a brilliant and discerning architect who wants to put his life behind him by leaving a mark on world, and Henry H. Holmes, a handsome and cunning physician who created his own pharmaceutical “Castle of Murder”on the site of the exhibition – a palace built to seduce, torture and maim young women. Eric Larson’s story takes the reader on a trail of murder, romance, and the mysteries of the Golden Age.
