How to plant trees and tree seeds in Dinkum
Like most similar farming sims, you have to dig the ground to plant seeds and trees. You need to use fertilizer and water them daily to grow them. Every seed or tree grows in its own time. While some crops grow quickly, some crops are produced towards the end of the season.
Here’s how to plant seeds or trees:
- As mentioned earlier, loosen the soil with a shovel.
- After digging a hole, press the Q button to plant or bury the seed.

- Once you’ve planted a seed, it all depends on when it grows.
- There are several factors associated with these cultures.
- Some seeds can be planted close together and some require extra space between them.
- Some crops require regular watering and fertilization.
Also note that you can find several items and collectibles while you dig the ground.
How to get a shovel
- Before planting a crop, you need an excavation license.
- You can get this license from Fletch, which allows you to use a shovel. This will cost you 500 Permit Points.
- Once you get the license, go to John to buy a shovel for 900 dinks.
- These seeds can now be used to either buy agricultural seeds from the Rhine, or cut down trees and bushes.
