You can get nails by crafting them in Dinkum. But for this, you will first need to mine tin ore. Here are the steps you need to follow to get tin ore in Dinkum:

• Go to the desert zone on your island map.
• There must be tons of stones and boulders with different ores
• Find and mine boulders with tin ore
• Get as many tin ores as you want
• You must now hold the tin ore in your hand
• Place the ore in the raw furnace to get tin ingots.

You can now use these blocks to craft nails at the workbench. However, you will need to first obtain a crafting recipe in order to make these nails. You can do this by going to Fletch. Here you will also get the wooden box recipe.
