As mentioned earlier, you need to take a fishing rod or hook in order to fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley. You will receive a fishing rod at the beginning of the game when you complete the Fishing Expedition quest.

To catch a fish, follow these steps:

• You will find fish in most water bodies throughout the open world.
• You can get these fish in ponds around meadows and meadows.
• When you notice bubbles inside the pond, throw your rod into the circle and wait for a while.
• You can equip a fishing rod from inventory and select a fishing rod tool.
