007’s Million Road is a reality show based on the James Bond universe.
Amazon has given the green light to create a TV show based on the famous British spy with agent 007 “Road to a Million”for Prime Video.
This eight-episode James Bond-style race around the world will be produced by UK-based 72 Films (Rise of the Murdoch Dynasty, All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur), MGM Television, and historical producers Barbara. Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. As 007’s Million Road begins production at the end of the year (and airs in over 240 countries and regions in 2023), contestants on the show will compete at many historical locations from the saga’s films to earn $1.3. million. In addition to overcoming physical obstacles, teams of two players will need to correctly answer various questions in order to move on to the next event.
Sources say the project was in development at Amazon Prime Video for about four years, long before MGM was acquired for $8.5 billion. David Glover of 72 Films says, “I came up with this idea a few years ago. Dan Grabiner and the UK Originals team have taken it to a whole new level. Working with Michael Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and the Bond franchise is a privilege and a dream come true. ”
A major transition for MGM and Amazon before the release of the new James Bond film.
The James Bond-themed reality show takes place during the transition of the franchise that ended the Daniel Craig era with the latest film, No Time To Die. Michael J. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli must now find a new actor to take on the role and keep looking for ways to keep the womanizing spy relevant in an increasingly changing world.
