According to a recent job posting spotted by TechCrunch, Duolingo has a small in-house team working on a music learning app.

This position seeks to find “an expert in music education who combines the theoretical knowledge of the scientific research of teaching itself and the experience of practical teaching.”Whoever takes on this job will have the task of making sure that the application is “well tied to the educational sciences”. This will require converting “research results into concrete insights”that can be used in the “learning by doing”for which Duolingo is known and recognized. It will also take the lead in curriculum development, meaning the app is only at the very beginning of its lifecycle.

When this Duolingo music app launches, it will join a growing list of apps designed to make learning easier, like the ABC app that teaches little ones to read and write.
