Palera1n iOS 15.x Developer Jailbreak Updated to Version 1.1.1 with Bug Fixes and Improvements
Palera1n, a developer-focused iOS and iPadOS 15.x jailbreak based on the checkm8 bootrom exploit that has been gaining momentum in the community of late, was updated to version 1.1.1 late Saturday night.
The palera1n team announced the latest release via the official Twitter account that developers @itsnebulalol and @mineekdev created earlier this week to keep the community updated on changes and developments related to the project.
Referring to the official changelog for palera1n v1.1.1, we can conclude that this update includes all of the following changes:
- iPad beta URL support
- Make sure autoload is always set to false (unless you’re restoring rootfs)
- Wait for sshd to start before starting postboot
- Fix hint validation bug
- Fix – restore rootfs
The palera1n team is currently aware of bugs in iOS and iPadOS versions 15.0-15.0.2 and 15.2-15.3.1. Tick currently recommends iOS or iPadOS 15.1 as the most stable firmware, however future updates to the tool should improve the stability of all versions.
Because this is a developer-focused jailbreak, we’re not saying the update is recommended for “everyone”, but all existing users should be sure to install the latest version, and all potential users should default to the latest version instead of the outdated version. release.
It is important to note that although Palera1n is a working jailbreak for iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.7, it only supports devices affected by the checkm8 bootrom exploit. This means that palera1n can only jailbreak A9, A10 and A11 devices, while A10 and A11 cannot have passcode or biometric authentication capabilities.
