Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Tulipe, VerticalBatteryDrain and more…
Many new iPhone owners enjoy all the latest features of iOS 16 combined with Dynamic Island, as well as all the latest features of the Apple iPhone 14 and 14 Pro lines. But burglars know to stay away…
Despite using older versions of iOS on older phones, many of the new features in iOS 16 and newer phones are available through jailbreak settings. With that in mind, updating the firmware or device and losing the jailbreak is not a viable option.
For those of you who don’t mind jailbreaking, we’ve put together a roundup of the latest jailbreak tweak releases and related news for the week of Monday, September 12th through Sunday, September 18th. As usual, we’ll start by taking a closer look at our favorite things first, and then finish with a look at everything else.
Our favorite releases this week
Tulip – FREE
You can achieve a really awful jailbreak iPhone lock screen UI aesthetic with the new Tulipe jailbreak tweak.
With it, you can apply custom effects to the date and time in both light and dark modes separately, including colors, fonts, positioning, and more.
You can find out about all the options you have with Tulipe in our full review.
Vertical battery drain – FREE OF CHARGE
The new jailbreak tweak VerticalBatteryDrain causes the battery level indicator in the status bar to fully drain vertically from top to bottom instead of horizontally from right to left.
While the effect is purely aesthetic, it’s enough to turn heads and perhaps help spark some conversation about how you were able to make such a thing. This may attract more people to jailbreak.
You can learn more about VerticalBatteryDrain in our full review.
Other releases this week
CustomStatusTimeFormatter: Allows you to customize the format for displaying the time in the status bar (Free from Andrew Grant’s personal repository).
Everything else from this week

iOS 15 Jailbreak: iDB discusses who is currently working on jailbreaking iOS and iPadOS 15 as iOS 16.0 is now available for download.
Legizmo Kincaid: A version of Legizmo that will allow pairing of new Apple Watches with older jailbroken versions of iOS via TrollStore.
