George R.R. Martin Confirms ‘Snow: Game of Thrones’ Sequel
Kit Harington starred in the TV series Snow.
American writer George R. R. Martin confirms the development of a series dedicated to Jon Snow, which should be a continuation of the “Game of Thrones”: “The Hollywood Reporter’s article is largely correct. I expected nothing less from James Hibberd. I have dealt with many reporters over the past few years and James is one of the best, a true reporter who does everything a reporter is supposed to do (gets the facts right, talks to sources, fulfills requests for general and confidential information) that most sites never do not do. Our working title is Snow.
George RR Martin breaks silence on Jon Snow spinoff, which is titled “Snow,”and gives some interesting backstory on how it all came together @GRRMspeaking https://t.co/7IXx7gEspP
He also shared that British comedian Kit Harington was promoting the project: “Snow has been in development for almost as long as the other three projects (Ten Thousand Ships, Sea Serpent, Hedge Knight) but somehow reason it was never announced. and never leaked…until now. It seems like Emilia Clarke already mentioned that Snow was Kit Harington’s idea in a recent interview. So this information is missing. Yes, it was Keith who gave us the idea. I can’t give you the names of the writers and showrunners as it hasn’t been confirmed yet…but Keith brought them in with his own team and they’re great.”
HBO has not yet approved the series “Snow”.
George R. R. Martin also assures that development is well under way, but nothing has been decided on the air yet: “Drafts and adaptations are written and approved, scripts are written, notes are given, the second and third versions are written. That’s all for now. This is how television works. There are many reasons why pilots never take on a series, many reasons why scripts are never filmed as pilots, many reasons why great treatments never go into the script. That’s how business works. I learned this a long time ago, during my first appearance on television. That’s about all I can tell you about Snow for now.
