iPhone 14 Series battery capacity leaked, iPhone 14 may get a bigger battery but iPhone 14 Pro Max will get a smaller unit
As the launch schedule neared, more iPhone 14 leaks began to surface online. According to some rumors, Apple will release the iPhone 14 series on September 13th. The company will release four new iPhone models, including two Max models. The iPhone 14 Max is said to replace the iPhone 13 mini this year.
Apple is said to be making several changes to the iPhone 14 series in terms of design and specifications. The Pro models are said to be getting a lot more upgrades than the regular models. A new leak has revealed battery specs for upcoming 2022 iPhone models.
iPhone 14 Series Battery Details Revealed
The Apple iPhone 14 models are said to get a larger battery this year. However, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is the most premium offering, will have a slightly smaller battery.
According to the leaker who shared the details on Baidu (via), the iPhone 14 will ship with a 3279mAh battery. For comparison, the iPhone 13 has a 3227 mAh battery. The iPhone 14 Pro will have a 3200 mAh battery, which is larger than the 13 Pro’s 3095 mAh battery.
Tipster also notes that the iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature a 4323mAh battery, which is smaller than the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 4352mAh battery.
The iPhone 14 Max, which is rumored to be a replacement for the iPhone 14 mini, will feature a 4325mAh battery. If true, the 14 Max will have the largest battery of all four models released this year.
Since there are no confirmed data, the latest battery leaks are best taken with a grain of salt. The rumor mill has revealed some other details about the iPhone models released this year.
iPhone 14 Series: Other specs and features leaked
The Pro models will get major upgrades, with the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max sporting a hole punch and pill-shaped cutout at the top for Face ID sensors and the front-facing camera. Apple is said to be updating the front camera on all four models released this year. It is said that the front camera will receive autofocus support.
The 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will support 120Hz ProMotion refresh rates. These models will be equipped with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays. Non-professional models will still have a wide cutout at the top. These models will have the same display size as the Pro models but will not support 120Hz refresh rates.
Under the hood of the Pro model, an A16 Bionic chip will be installed. Regular models will have an A15 chip. All four models will likely have 6GB of RAM.
In terms of cameras, the iPhone 14 Pro models are rumored to feature a 48MP triple camera setup. Regular models will be equipped with a dual camera on the back.
