Endless turns its music collaboration app into an arcade machine for musicians
This arcade machine will test your sense of rhythm. Endless lets you dial in beats and play along with the music.
Have you ever dreamed of playing an arcade rhythm game that also challenges your creativity rather than just matching notes? Today it is possible. Endless has just turned their remote music collaboration software into a true arcade machine with joysticks, touch screen, XY controller and numerous buttons. You can use it as a stand-alone audio workstation with your own plug-ins and physical instruments, but there’s also an arcade mode that makes you punch beats.

This creation is a real community project. Endless’s Discord member N.J. Lang liked the idea of an arcade machine so much that he built one, and it became a hit when the company invited him to several events. The company later built a prototype and received overwhelmingly positive reviews. American NBA player Baron Davis was even the first to buy it. You can see his reaction in the video below.

At the same time, the purchase is not trivial, to put it mildly, for mere mortals. In truth, most arcade machines will seem affordable compared to this. Endless will release 25 Launch Edition machines at the end of February for a “promotional”price of $9,999. And you’ll need to make a $200 non-refundable deposit to access pre-sales before it opens to the public. If you’re on a budget and have a serious penchant for making music and video games, this machine is definitely for you!
