Epic Games is giving away 15 free games this Christmas

The Epic Games Store is regularly giving away gifts every month, and it looks like Epic has big plans for Christmas this year. Epic for new leaks, it looks like Epic will be giving away around 15 free games between December 16th and 30th. Each game will be available for free for one day only, while the last one, the 15th game, will be available for a week.

The leaks come from Dealabs user Billbill-Kun, who has been responsible for leaking free PS Plus games over the past few months. While Epic hasn’t confirmed the free-to-play next week on Dec. 16, there are speculations that “Mystery Game”is indeed Shenmue 3. Buying the Epic Games Store for free has been a great way to bring people to the platform, and a report released by Epic earlier this year detailed that some free games like Grand Theft Auto V were able to bring 7 million new users to the platform. So it seems realistic to assume that the 15 Free Games promotion could achieve similar numbers if the games were popular enough.

Shenmue 3 will most likely be available for free in the store on December 16th and is a great and fun game to start with. It will be interesting to see what games Epic has in store for players before Christmas. Most likely, many of these games will be small games, as opposed to AAA games. Epic is also reportedly planning a year-end sale towards the end of the month that will run until January 6, 2021.
