This new jailbreak tweak adds an app shortcut widget to the lock screen on locked iOS 15 devices.
Many people will agree that app shortcuts on the lock screen are useful. After all, it was this feeling that made old jailbreak tweaks like Jellyfish so popular back then.
Apple has clearly taken note of this concept with quick camera and flashlight actions, but their non-customizability is not a start for many people. That’s why the new jailbreak tweak dubbed Rena by iOS developer Sugiuta might be worth taking a look at.
Rena adds a customizable app shortcut widget to your lock screen that gives you quick access to your favorite apps without the hassle of navigating your home screen.
Rena is compatible with both iPhone and iPad, runs iOS or iPadOS 15.0-15.7.1, is highly customizable, and adds a dedicated settings panel to the Settings app where users can customize the tweak to their liking:
Things you can do here include:
- Turn Rena on and off on demand
- Selecting your favorite apps to use
- Hiding the blur effect
- Setting Widget Width
- Widget Height Setting
- Adjusting the edge of the widget
- And more…
The developer has included a Respring button in the top right corner of the settings panel that allows you to save any changes you make here on demand.
According to the developer, Rena is fully compatible with Fugu15 Max, XinaA15 and Palera1n jailbreaks. In addition, support for Axon, Mochi15 and some other jailbreak tweaks is fully included.
If you’re interested in trying out Rena, the tweak is available for $0.99 on the Havoc repository through your favorite package management app.
