FAUG Gets a New Map Called Dugong Rock Island: Can It Spice Up the Game?
nCore Games just announced that FAUG is about to get a new map called Dugong Rock Island. The map will soon be available in the game and will feature interesting terrain and multiple elevation levels to diversify the combat in the game.
FAUG is a mobile shooter developed by nCore Games and released in 2021. The game was launched with single-player only, and the developers eventually introduced new multiplayer game modes such as team deathmatch.
The game has been out for a while now and the development team has released updates frequently to keep up with the fierce competition in the mobile gaming arena. FAUG is available for download for Android and iOS devices from the Google Play Store/App Store.

nCore Games has not yet announced when exactly the new map will be available in the game. The new map looks quite interesting – with underground levels that can confuse traffic quite significantly.
Leading up to its release, FAUG generated significant buzz in the mobile gaming community, but many felt that the launch build of the game was not such a good deal. The game didn’t have the necessary depth needed for a modern mobile shooter, and even with subsequent content updates and new game modes, FAUG didn’t really take off.
Meanwhile, competition in the mobile gaming space has increased exponentially, with games like Apex Legends Mobile taking the scene by storm. There are several other interesting mobile projects currently in development, such as Call of Duty Warzone for mobile devices, as well as Valorant Mobile.
FAUG and nCore Games have a job to do, as audiences today have some pretty high demands on their mobile shooter. Perhaps adding new game modes and maps could be a solution in the short term, but to keep up with demand, the studio may have to go back to the drawing board with the FAU-G.
