FIFA: third-party studios and publishers will return the license

In order to diversify its video game offering and offer new games, the international sports federation of soccer, futsal and beach soccer will partner with several studios and publishers.

FIFA is currently in talks with major publishers, media companies and investors to create a new simulation game in 2024, after the end of its exclusive contract with Electronic Arts. World Cup 2022 in Qatar for the third quarter of this year. Other projects are also under study with several big names in the video game industry for the next Women’s World Cup. Please note that the new FIFA model is part of a synergy with FIFA+, its new media platform.

FIFA 23, the end of a long partnership between FIFA and Electronic Arts

In addition to the new games, FIFA has granted Electronic Arts an exclusive license renewal to sell FIFA 23 at the end of the year. This latest version, under the name of the American giant, will for the first time combine the men’s and women’s World Cups in one edition of the game.
