Final Fantasy 7 Gets Free PS5 Update For PS Plus Users

PS Plus subscribers who received Final Fantasy VII Remake as a free game last year will now be able to upgrade to the PS5 version of the game. In addition, players who wish to purchase Episode Intermission, the DLC featuring Yuffe Kisaragi, will be able to purchase the DLC at a 25% discount.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was one of the most talked about games of 2020 and one of the best games available on PS4. The PS5 version of the game comes with a host of new features, including a photo mode, improved visuals, and support for Dualsense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was made available as a free-to-play game on PS Plus last year. As with many other PS5 games, players will be able to switch between Graphics and Performance modes to select the best resolution or target 60fps.

1. Go to PlayStation Store on PS5.
2. Finding a Final Fantasy VII Remake
3. Select the version of the game with the yellow PS Plus icon.
4. Switch to the PS5 version of the game in the Game tab.
5. Select “Add to Library”and then “Upload”.
