Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier, Square Enix’s battle royale will end
Just over a year after the release of Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier on iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play, Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier is coming to an end.
Japanese publisher Square Enix is preparing to shut down the servers of Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier, the canon free-to-play battle royale mobile game set 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy 7:
Closing will take place on January 11, 2023. Despite our best efforts to provide you with regular updates of fresh and exciting content, we have not been able to provide you with the experience we hoped for and that you all deserve, which is why we have made the extremely difficult decision to shut down the servers FF7 The First Soldier. We would like to thank you all for your support over the past year. Although there are just under three months left before the end of service, we will continue to release updates during this period and hope you continue to enjoy The First Soldier until the end.
Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier ending recorded
Shinra Credits have been removed from the in-game store as of today, but remaining Shinra Credits can be used until the Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier servers go down. Non-English support for the global version will end on October 31st. After this date, text will only be displayed in English.
For reference, Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier is a “high-intensity”battle royale infused with RPG elements from the Final Fantasy series. The action takes place in Midgar before the events of FF7. Players fight to join the ranks of the elite Shinra SOLDIER unit, using spells, weapons, and special abilities to defeat their opponents and emerge victorious.
